Highlights of Scotland

After a warm reception from your tour manager at your dedicated pick-up point, settle into your
comfortable coach as we set off on our journey. Crossing the Scottish border, you will stop at
Gretna Green.

Gretna Green is famous for its historic Blacksmith's Shop, where eloping couples would
exchange vows over the Blacksmith’s anvil. This award-winning wedding destination offers
visitors unique shopping experiences and dining options. Here, you will also be introduced to
Scotland’s whisky heritage with a Malt Whisky Tasting. Learn about the whisky-making process
and sample two malts and a liqueur.

We then continue to Glasgow for a city tour, including:

● Glasgow Cathedral – The oldest cathedral in mainland Scotland and Glasgow’s first
significant landmark.

● George Square – The principal civic square in Glasgow, known for its events and
historic statues.

● University of Glasgow – One of Scotland’s most prestigious institutions.

End the day with a delightful Indian dinner before checking into your hotel.

After breakfast, visit The Falkirk Wheel, the world's only rotating boat lift. This marvel of
engineering connects the Forth & Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. Enjoy a 50-minute boat
trip, where you'll ascend 35 meters in just five minutes before gliding along the aqueduct and
through Rough Castle Tunnel.

Next, we stop at Helix Park, home to The Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world.
These 100ft-tall, 300-tonne statues symbolize Scotland's industrial heritage.

In Edinburgh, enjoy a city orientation tour, including:

● Princes Street
● Palace of Holyroodhouse
● Edinburgh Castle – Perched on a volcanic plug, this historic fortress houses the
Scottish Crown Jewels.
● Royal Mile & St Giles' Cathedral

Enjoy dinner at a selected restaurant before returning to Glasgow.

After breakfast, travel north towards Loch Lomond and Fort William. Visit the Nevis Range,
where a cable car ride takes you to the summit for breathtaking views of Ben Nevis, the highest
mountain in the British Isles.

Next, we stop at the Commando Memorial, a 17ft-high bronze statue honoring the commandos
who served in WWII.

Continue to Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous for appearing in the Harry Potter films. From the
Glenfinnan Visitor Center, enjoy views of the Glenfinnan Monument, an 18m-high structure
commemorating the Jacobite clansmen.

Our final stop is Neptune's Staircase, an eight-lock staircase on the Caledonian Canal,
originally hand-powered but now hydraulically operated.

End the day with a delicious dinner before returning to Glasgow.

After breakfast, check out and embark on a scenic drive to the Lake District, England's largest
National Park. Visit Lake Windermere, England's largest lake, and enjoy a Lake Windermere
Cruise, taking in the stunning landscapes, secluded bays, and wooded islands.

Experience the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Train, where you'll travel in an old-world
steam locomotive, offering a nostalgic journey back in time.

In the afternoon, return to your drop-off points, bidding farewell to new friends made on the tour.
